Newest Loved Loved list Banned list FAQ
(not so) Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need to register?
- No, you can use this site without account.
But if you want to use RSS to get notified about new chapters of series you love or if you use many browsers/computers,
it's better to register.
All information about your settings or loved/banned lists will be stored on server instead of your browser cookies.
- How does this work?
- Mangafeed asks each website for updates every few minutes, and if there are any,
it tries to recognize the series and chapter number, so I can put releases of the same chapter together.
The process is not ideal because series can have many titles and different sites can have different numbering systems,
so mistakes may appear. If you spot one, tell me.
- Why chapters/releases are blue?
- It means that since your last visit new chapters/releases appeared.
Thye're not marked "as seen" automatically, you need to do that manually by clicking "Mark as seen" above chapters list.
Notice that chapters are ordered by it's first release time, and withing groups they are ordered by chapter number.
- What are those groups?
- Sometimes chapters are released large bulks.
Without grouping it could take too much space,
so if there are at least four chapters close to each other, Mangafeed put them together,
leaving two latest alone and grouping the rest. Just click the group to view everything
- How do I love/ban?
- On the right of each chapter entry you can find two buttons: "Love" and "Ban".
The first one makes chapters of this title appear in "Loved" tab.
Thanks to that you can list only those titles you like.
The second button makes title disappear completely.
If you really hate this title, click it, andafter page reload you won't see it in in newest tab.
You can see what you love or hate in "Loved list" and "Banned list".
To unlove or unban, just click the button again.
If you are not logged in,
all loved and banned titles will be stored in your web browser cookies,
so you must enable them to make it work,
and make your browser to keep them after restart.
You can have up to 200 loved and banned titles in your cookies,
but don't have too much because it will slow down page loading a bit.
If you are registered, everything is stored on Mangafeed server,
and you can have as many loved or banned titles as you like.
- How does "Bump chapter when it appears in new language" option work?
- Let's say you are bilingual and read manga in two languages.
One chapter was released in first language month ago and in second today.
When you turn this option on, this chapter will appear as freshly updated.
If you turn it off, release in new language won't be treated specially and chapter won't be "bumped".
- What is "foolslide"
- FoOlSlide is an opensource online manga reader (or rather manga-oriented CMS) made by guys from FoOlRulez.
Mangafeed supports its API.
Thanks to this it can link directly to scanlators' own readers - so you can get updates faster, without waiting for people to upload to other online readers.
If you are in scanlation group, own a FoOlSlide reader and you want Mangafeed to use it - contact me (links below).
- What about other languages?
- One small problem: I know only polish and english.
If you know other and you want to help... do it! I'd love to add support for other languages!
- Will you support site X?
- Any site which doesn't suck is welcome!
- Who's behind that?
- One guy who was tired of constantly checking few sites at once and having too much RSS feeds just to see if new chapters of his favourite titles are released...
- I have other question.../I need to contact you...
